A 12-BORE 'GRADE B' 1911 PATENT DETACHABLE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. O13483,
circa 1912, 30in. nitro barrels with beaded bordering to the breech ends, the rib with acanthus scroll detailing and engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke, dent towards muzzle left barrel, rib loose, treble-grip action with removable striker discs, automatic safety with blue enamelled 'SAFE' plaque, H.A.A. Thorn patent 'Detachable Solid Bar Lock' sidelocks, patent no. 6413 of 14th March 1911, the left lockplate with 'PATENT 6413 11' engraved around the side nail, profusely engraved with fine scrolling vines with beaded bordering, retaining much original colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/4in. boldly-figured stock including 1 1/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 12oz.
