circa 1840 and of Pattern '39 style but with blued 33in. barrel, block fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight, borderline engraved bevel-edged lock of flint form stamped with a crown device over 'V.R.' and 'ENFIELD', borderline engraved hammer, walnut full-stock with brass furniture (working inlet repairs to underside of fore-end) and iron ramrod, the nosecap with provision for Lovell's catch (absent)
