A TURKISH 16-BORE FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL, unsigned, no visible serial number, circa early 19th Century, with 8 1/2 in. round to octagonal barrel, crudely fashioned period engraved lock with swan-neck hammer, brass eared butt-cap, brass trigger-guard and barrel-band, decoratively carved stock, worn, steel-work rusted and stained, lock replaced and banded brass repairs and crude trigger-guard, replacement screw and jaw, and some losses to the stock fore-end, appears to have been heavily repaired or made from parts in antiquity, 14 1/2 in. overall
