circa 1900, with blued octagonal 26 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed beaded fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, matted top-flat and nocksform, machine and scroll engraved action, the right hand side signed within a zig-zag banner 'W.W. GREENER, HAYMARKET, LONDON', figured walnut straight hand butt-stock chequered at the wrist, the back of wrist later drilled for a peep-sight (absent), machine chequered iron heel-plate, chequered under-lever and horn-tipped chequered walnut splinter fore-end, strong amount of apparently original finish remaining
