for 1990, 28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the rib engraved 'P CHAPMAN LONDON, ENGLAND.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, Purdey/Beesley style self-opening action with removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, cocking-indicators, the lightly rounded bar action, lockplates and furniture profusely carved in relief with bold stylised acanthus foliage, the lockplates with scrolled cartouches gold-inlaid 'PETER CHAPMAN', the underside with a further oval cartouche gold-inlaid 'PETER CHAPMAN. LONDON. ENGLAND', the triggerplate with Geoffrey Casbard's monogram with reversed G and C, with '9' and '0', bright finish overall with colour-hardened action face and flats, 15in. figured stock, weight 5lb. 4oz., in its brass-cornered leather case with some Peter Chapman engraved accessories
