dated 1943, 25 1/4in. nitro reproved barrel (in 1985), block and blade fore-sight with side protectors, folding Singer N67 aperture rear sight (battle sight ground off), blued receiver fitted with screwed on threaded pads, side-mounted no. 32 telescopic sight marked 'TEL SIGHTING NO.32 MKII W. NO.14880. OS 1650A' followed by the broad arrow, sight mount marked 'AB7774', the rings marked '694' and '695' at their bases, leather lens covers, with a metal container, receiver marked to the left 'NO.4 MK I T.', the buttstock collar ground down on the right and marked 'M47. 1943. AB7774. TR.' manual safety, lightweight bolt, detachable box magazine, three-quarter length stock, fore-stock with four-groove top-cover, but marked at the wrist '14880', applied raised cheekpiece, Western Mfg co. leather sling, 13in. pull including brass buttplate with central trapdoor, weight 9lb. 8oz. (unscoped) and 12lb. 1oz. (scoped), in a transit chest
