circa 1855, with rebrowned laminated 28in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS 170 NEW BOND ST, LONDON' (rubbed), squared breech with platinum vent, borderline and bouquet engraved top-tang also featuring an armourial of a stag's head, borderline and scroll engraved recoloured bar-action lock signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS', bolted safe behind the hammer, figured walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, engraved iron furniture (detail worn), plain ramrod thimbles, eyelets for sling and brass tipped ebonised ramrod (repaired), complete with a period mahogany case, relined and compartmented in green baize and including two period powder measures, a pewter oil bottle, cap-tin and derelict flask
