for 1923, 26in. detachable cordite proofed barrel engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON.', block-mounted open sights and four folding leaf sights with white metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 100, 200, 300, 400 and 500 yards, the block mounted on a sprung sheath (loose, needing rebrazing) with 'W.R. PATENT DETACHABLE BARREL' engraved to the right side, engraved ramp-mounted bead fore-sight with fold-over protector, the nocksform with the Westley Richards triangle, the fore-end with patent locking sidelever, the receiver (with thumb cutout) with matt top receiver ring and engraved to the side 'L.T.41164 WESTLEY RICHARDS .318 ACCELERATED EXPRESS', later telescopic sight bar mount with a Swarovski Z6 1-6x24 EE telescopic sight, serial no. R770102520, in quickly-detachable mounts, hinged floorplate with lever release, figured pistolgrip stock with sling eyes, horn pistolgrip-cap and fore-end finial, steel buttplate (with trap), weight 9lb. 1oz. (unscoped) and 10lb. 3oz. (with scope)
