A FINE PAIR OF BROWN-ENGRAVED 12-BORE SELF-OPENING SIDELOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 21045 / 6,
for 1989, 28in. nitro chopperlump barrels, the ribs engraved in script 'D J Dryhurst. 27 Fiery Hill, Barnt Green. Worcestershire. England.' and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, Holland & Holland style self-opening systems, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, rolled-edge triggerguards, the actions, lockplates and furniture finely engraved with scrolling acanthus and floral bouquets, the makers name in scrolling banners, the rear sections of the lockplates very finely engraved with game scenes, each signed in script 'A.M. Brown', the No.1 left lock with a pair of lively spaniels flushing a cock pheasant, the right with alighting mallard, the No.2 left lock with a labrador flushing a drake, the right with a covey of English partridge taking flight, the triggerguard tangs gold-inlaid with the serial numbers, 15 5/8in. exhibition grade stocks with diamond grips, setting crack to rear of top tang No.2, weight 6lb. 14oz., in their fitted brass-cornered leather case, together with a pair of fleece-lined leather gunslips
