28in. black powder only fine damascus barrels with Henry patent rifling, partially file cut rib engraved 'ALEXR. HENRY. 12 SOUTH ST. ANDREW ST. EDINBURGH. MAKER TO THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESS THE PRINCE OF WALES AND THE DUKE OF EDINBURGH. PATENT NO. 2296', reblued open sights with two folding leaf sights, white metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 50, 100 and 150 yards, blued bead fore-sight, Jones patent rotary underlever, carved percussion fences, non-rebounding back-action locks with bolted dolphin hammers, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining traces of colour-hardening, 14 1/4in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with horn pistolgrip-cap, sling eyes and engraved steel heel and toe plates, weight 8lb. 4oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case with morocco-leather lined interior
