dated for 1867, with blued 36 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, flip-open breech-block, marked 'II*' and '24' on the nocksform commercial style chequered thumb-piece, plain colour hardened bar-action lock with unusual elongated tail signed 'BARDELL'S & POWELL'S PATENT No.6', flat-faced rebounding hammer (of same patent), walnut full-stock (some heavy bruising) with brass furniture except three iron barrel-bands and jag-ended clearing-rod
