for 2012, 24in. nitro barrels (in the white) with partially matted sight rib, the fore-part of the sight rib engraved 'MADE IN ENGLAND O'FARRILL, SHIRLEY & CO. 1935. BIRMINGHAM B4', unmarked open sights and ramp mounted bead fore-sight, the tubes engraved 'CAL .500 3IN NITRO EXPRESS REG. FOR 570 GRN BULLET' and with gold bands at the breech end, underlever return spring not operating and requires manual locking, boxlock action with Bissell style rising third bite, removable striker discs, manual safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border engraving, bright finish, the action gold-inlaid 'O'FARRILL SHIRLEY', the triggerguard tang gold-inlaid with the serial number, 14 5/8in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap and including 1/2in. rubber recoil pad, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 11lb. 8oz.
