for 1899, 26in. nitro reproved Parkerifled barrel (lined from .250 Rook circa 1939), round barrel with partially file cut top flat, open sights with folding leaf sight, white metal inlaid sight lines and marked for 50 / 100 and 150 yards, the sides of the barrel engraved 'CHARLES LANCASTER. 151 NEW BOND ST. LONDON.' and 'NON FOULING SMOOTH OVAL BORE RIFLING', plain action retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, the left side engraved '.250 C.F.', the hand mounted with a folding peepsight, 14 3/8in. highly-figured semi-pistolgrip stock, Hackett snap fore-end with horn finial, weight 4lb. 12oz.
