A CASED PAIR OF 22-BORE FLINTLOCK DUELLING PISTOLS SIGNED JOVER, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1790, with rebrowned octagonal 10in. barrels signed 'LONDON' at the breech-end, white metal fore-sights, standing notch rear-sights to the engraved top-tangs, London proofs, plain bevel-edged locks with swan-necked cocks, sliding safes, semi-rainproof pans and roller frizzen springs, walnut full-stocks with fully chequered bag-shaped grips, single set triggers, iron furniture and horn-tipped rammers, in a period mahogany case relined and compartmented for these pistols, including a period loading rod, three-way flask and a later scissors mould
