circa 1890, with 32 1/2in. heavy barrel signed 'GEORGE GIBBS, CORN STREET, BRISTOL.' and 'METFORD'S PATENT. 1586', modern windage adjustable tunnel fore-sight of correct style, additional original block and dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, action marked 'FIELD'S PATENT NO. 1927, 1877' on the left side and 'GEORGE GIBBS, 29 CORN STREET BRISTOL' on the right side (both inscriptions rubbed), the tang with mount for a replacement folding aperture target sight (included), walnut straight-hand full-stock, iron butt-plate, two iron barrel-bands, brass tipped clearing rod and provision for a sling, finish faded and worn
