A SCARCE BOXED .177 BSA BUCCANEER BREAK-BARREL AIR-RIFLE, serial no. AA04870,
circa 1980, with blued 18 1/2in. barrel, ramp fore-sight retaining its original tunnel protector, rear-sight mounted to rear of air-chamber, brown plastic thumb-hole three-quarter stock, appearing very little used but action seized and missing button from safety catch, in its makers' card and polystyrene carton with cocking aid, target holder with targets and pellet sample
Provenance: The BSA Buccaneer was only manufactured between the end of 1977 to 1981, and was available in a number of colourways. Sadly, like most BSA air-rifles and pistols from this period (and some other manufacturer's) the washers suffer from chemical decomposition, even when not used, resulting in the actions binding
