Product Details

A RARE .22 BSA SHADOW CARBINE BREAK-BARREL AIR-RIFLE, serial no RC116,
only manufactured 1985-86, with blued 7 7/8in. barrel not including the detachable plastic cocking-aid, ramp fore-sight retaining its tunnel protector, blued air-chamber marked 'BSA SHADOW', rear-mounted adjustable peep-sight, automatic safety catch and black synthetic thumb-hole stock, collector's external condition

Provenance: The BSA Shadow (often erroneously called the Black Shadow) was a short lived attempt by BSA to capture a slice of the 'shoulder-stocked pistol' market. The successful BSA Scorpion air-pistol was not provisioned by BSA for a shoulder-stock, unlike it's rival the Milbro Cougar, so BSA utilised a stock design from their Buccaneer model which was also based on the Scorpion and married the air-pistol with the stock to create the Shadow. Another version had a brown or green stock and was known as 'The Trooper', but neither had strong sales and it is believed less than 250 were produced across both models
