A RARE CASED .38 (RIMFIRE) COLT ROUND BARREL POCKET NAVY WITH EJECTOR REVOLVER, serial no. 1841,
for 1861 and subsequently converted from percussion between 1873-75, with blued round 5 1/2in. barrel, single line signature to top of barrel, rammer aperture plugged, stepped five-shot cylinder with roll engraved scene (conversion numbered '098'), applied standing breech with hinged loading gate, colour-hardened open frame stamped 'COLTS PATENT', brass grip-straps and trigger guard with traces of original silver plating, one-piece smooth walnut grip (some bruising), a high amount of period blue finish and colour remaining, all matching numbers except where noted and un-numbered wedge, London proofs, in an English market oak casing lined and compartmented in green baize, indented corner Colt parchment trade-label for the 14 Pall Mall Depot and complete with ring-handled cleaning rod, 'L' shaped turn-screw and pewter oil bottle
