circa 1868, with octagonal 26in. blued barrel, the top-flat signed 'W.B. BARRATT, BURTON ON TRENT', dove-tailed fore-sight, rear sight of one standing and two folding leaves, partial border and scroll engraving to breech-end, blued borderline and scroll engraved slab-sided action with push-button barrel-release to underside, the left side of action marked 'TRANTER'S PATENT', central hammer, figured walnut butt-stock with chequered straight hand wrist, iron heel-plate and guarded trigger, no provision for fore-end, strong amount of finish remaining, especially to action
