LONDON.' and gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, slightly loose on actions, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, treble-grip actions with patent gas checks, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, best bouquet and scroll engraving, the undersides engraved 'ROYAL EJECTOR PATENT 16691.', brushed finish overall, some light external pitting, 13 5/8in. well-figured stock including buttplate (No.1) and 13 7/8in. well-figured (well-matching) replacement stock including buttplate (No.2), weight 6lb. 12oz., in their brass-cornered oak and leather case with blue baize interior, labels and interior protecting flap. The makers have kindly confirmed that these shotguns were completed in June 1895.
