circa 1920, 30in. 'Acier Comprime Cap' nitro reproved chopperlump barrels (in 2020), matt ribs with banners engraved 'E. LIEN BREVETE ROUBAIX', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke (No.1) and 1/4 and 1/2 choke (No.2), side-clipped treble-grip actions with hidden third bites, the fences carved in high relief with oak leaf and acorn designs on a stippled background, removable striker discs, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'S' details, Joseph Troisfontaines patent ejectors, cocking-indicators, articulated front-triggers, bold acanthus scroll engraving, bright and reblued finish overall, 16in. stocks including 2 1/8in. wooden extension (No.1) and 2 1/4in. wooden extension (No.2) with some ink enhancement, minor setting cracks to rear of lockplates, No.1 pinned repair to right overhorn, the combs inset in gold towards the heel with an 'S' surmounted by the coronet of a Comte, the fore-ends inset in gold '1' and '2', weight 7lb., in a brass-cornered leather case with some accessories and a canvas and leather outer
