first pattern circa 1910, with 9in. sighted rifled barrel, the air chamber stamped 'WESTLEY RICHARDS HIGHEST POSSIBLE AIR PISTOL' left hand side of frame marked 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO, LONDON W.' and 'PATENT 24837 1907', with 'heart' shaped cut-out to top of grip-frame, smooth horn grips with Westley Richards trade-mark and guarded trigger (metal-work darkly patinated).
