circa 1875, with tapering iron 2 1/2in. barrel, the top signed on two lines 'COLT'S PT FA MFG CO HARTFORD CT USA' along with the model designation, London proofs, nickel crescent fore-sight, engraved iron receiver with barrel release catch and central hammer, integral iron butt with small oval chequered panels, spur trigger, a fair amount of finish remaining
