with 30in. twist barrel signed in gold at breech 'BECKWITH LONDON', the conversion to percussion has been effected by fitting a new breech unit with nipple bolster and vented platinum plug, the top with an inlaid platinum band and engraved with a pheasant, borderline engraved lock with stepped tail, some foliate decoration and makers name 'BECKWITH' to centre, the top edge of the lock has been reprofiled to suit the new bolster, the hammer engraved to match the lock, iron mounted figured walnut half-stock with chequered wrist, scroll trigger-guard with pineapple finial, complete with brass mounted wooden rammer
