A PAIR OF 12-BORE BOXLOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 30470 / 1,
circa 1890, serial numbers on barrels only, 30in. replacement nitro barrels (in 1936), ribs engraved 'NEW BARRELS SPECIALLY MADE FOR ALLPORT. GUN NO. 30471 / 2' and engraved '1' and '2' at the breech ends, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke in all, some dents, pits and light bulges, incorporating Samuel Blakemore Allport 1890 patent treble-grip actions, patent no. 2760 of 20th February 1890, use No. 13 (patent use number marked on gun No.2 only), automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, intercepting sears, border and acanthus scroll engraving, brushed bright finishes, 14 1/4in. figured stocks (No.1 cracked and repaired at head) including buttplates, bolstered fore-end woods, weight 6lb. 4oz.
