circa 1870, with 29 1/4in. damascus twist barrel, short moulded sighting-rib at breech signed 'COLLINSON HALL UPPER MARY LEBONE ST, LONDON' (SIC, rubbed), border and fully scroll engraved long top-tang with a vignette of wildfowl at the head, border and scroll engraved back action lock signed 'COLLINSON HALL' and with shaped protrusion extending below the breech-block, scroll engraved hammer, well figured chequered walnut half-stock (old crack below front of lock) iron heel-plate, applied iron scroll pistol-grip, applied horn grip to front of trigger guard bow, fore-end with cross-key fastener and moulded horn fore-end tip, no provision for ramrod, in a relined and compartmented brass-cornered mahogany case also containing a flask, oil bottle and cleaning rod
