A GOOD CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION REVOLVER, MODEL 'ADAM'S PATENT', serial no. 33731R,
circa 1856 with blued octagonal 5 3/4in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight blade, the top-strap signed 'WILL'M GOLDEN, HUDDERSFIELD', the left side of barrel towards breech stamped 'L.A.C.' and trademarked with 'L.A.C.' in a shield surmounted by a crown below the barrel throat, borderline engraved solid frame marked 'B17984' over 'ADAMS PATENT 33,731R', plain five-shot cylinder also marked with the '33,731R' number, wingnut cylinder arbor retainer, sliding safe behind cylinder to right hand side, chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip, blued iron grip-cap and blued and colour hardened patent rammer mounted on the left hand side of barrel and numbered '6544' on the inner face, the revolver retaining virtually all its original finish and colour and appearing little used, complete with its walnut storage case with ten-screw lid lined and compartmented in green baize and containing a fine bag-shaped powder flask signed Dixon, a Robert Adams trademarked double cavity bullet mould, a brass mounted ebony cleaning rod, a Dixon oil bottle and a suede cap-pouch
