for 1890, 26in. replacement nitro Boehler Antinit-steel chopperlump barrels, with raised wave-cut solid matt rib, engraved in gothic script 'J. RIGBY & CO. LONDON.', open sights, ramped high-visibility bead fore-sight with flip-up moon sight, the breech end mounted with a Habicht Diana 4 telescopic sight, serial no. 412780, in quickly-detachable claw mounts, the tubes engraved 'CAL 7M/MX65R REGULATED FOR 177 GR BULLET', the underside engraved 'No. 16400 J. RIGBY & CO.', treble-grip action with J. Rigby & T. Bissell patent rising third bite, patent no. 1141 of 1879, use number 630, action face marked with patent details and use number and also number 2411, carved fences, sidelever opening, automatic bolted safety with button release and diminutive swinging bolt and with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, removable striker discs, dipped-edge lockplates, triggers set for the left hand, chequered front trigger, bold border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining very slight traces of colour-hardening and finish, two-piece triggerguard, 14 1/2in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with horn pistolgrip-cap, sling swivels and including engraved and chequered steel buttplate with hinged trapdoor, the comb gold-inlaid '2' and cast on for the left shoulder, fore-end with Rigby patent screw-grip fore-end fastener, Rigby patent ejector / non ejector selector nut and gold-inlaid '2', weight 8lb. 2oz. (unscoped) and 9lb. 1oz. (scoped), in a later fitted brass-cornered leather guncase with some accessories and sighting targets
