circa 1905, 28in. sleeved nitro barrels, the rib gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, treble-grip action, the toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, acanthus scroll engraving with central floral bouquets, 14 3/8in. (likely replacement) stock, inset at the heel with a Payne Gallwey style 'game counting apparatus', patent design number 4083 of 31st March 1885, weight 6lb. 15oz., in a canvas case
