the rifle circa 1840, with refinished 24 1/2in. octagonal barrel rifled with seven grooves, dove-tailed blade front-sight, three leaf rear-sight on moulded foot, the nipple bolster with vented platinum plug, bar-action, borderline and foliate engraved lock featuring a stag in seated position (lightly cleaned), bolt safety behind the hammer, single set trigger, walnut half-stock (hairline forming through sidenail cup) and with chequered wrist and inset vacant silver escutcheon, iron furniture (some cleaning and mild pitting), contained in a modern made green baize lined and partitioned oak case, including a scissors ball mould, turned bone cap box carved with the mask of a chimp, a selection of modern made tools and cleaning rod
