28in. sleeved nitro barrels (in 1999), ribs re-engraved with the makers details, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke (No.1) and imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke (No.2), self-opening actions with removable striker discs, toplevers engraved '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, arrow cocking-indicators, articulated front triggers, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining slight traces of colour-hardening, 14 5/8in. highly-figured replacement stocks including 1in. leather covered recoil pads, replacement fore-end woods, weight 6lb. 14oz., in their lightweight leather motor case. The makers have kindly confirmed that these guns were completed September 1909 for J.L. Van Allen and were subsequently re-barrelled by them in 1962.
