AN 18-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-BARRELLED SPORTING GUN SIGNED 'D. EGG',
circa 1800, with two-stage slightly shortened 32 3/4in. barrel, hooked breech with gold line, bevel-edge lock with stepped tail signed 'D. EGG', walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (worn) with oval silver escutcheon, steel furniture and later wooden ramrod (discoloured throughout)
