A RARE 80-BORE BALL-RESERVOIR PNEUMATIC AIR PISTOL, UNSIGNED,
circa 1800, continental, possibly Russian manufacture, with round 21in. barrel, bead fore-sight (rearsight missing), large bevel-edged curved lock with internal springs and hammer, plain walnut half-stock with bag-shaped grip and flattened side panels (cracked beneath lock-plate), provision for shoulder-stock, mount for ball-reservoir (missing) forwards of trigger-guard, full-length tunnel for loading rod under barrel (rod missing), light surface corrosion to exposed iron surfaces
