for 1898, with 5 1/2in. tapering barrel (ring-bulged centrally, not recommended for use), long extractor claw to bolt, 500 metre rear-sight, matching number 'cone' shaped hammer, milled sides to frame (dent to right side of magazine housing), broad trigger and 23-groove bag-shaped walnut grips, traces of finish throughout
Provenance: This pistol is interesting in that the majority of pistols made in the serial number range 12200-14999 were large ring-hammer models
