circa 1894-1916 with 26in. two-stage no.2 weight barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, colour-hardened plain receiver, falling-block action with central hammer, plain walnut straight-hand butt-stock with iron crescent heel-plate, under-lever opening forming the trigger-guard and plain walnut schnabel fore-end, the whole retaining much original finish
