circa 1860, probably designed for bulleted caps, London proofs with octagonal 26in. barrel, bead fore-sight, rear-sight missing, scroll and shell engraved action body with flush-fitting side-lever opening, border and game engraved back-action lock with side-hammer, walnut straight-hand butt-stock chequered at the wrist, iron heel-plate and game-scene engraved trigger-guard bow, traces of original finish throughout
