circa 1855, with 5 1/2in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'W. & J. KAVANAGH, 12 DAME ST,T DUBLIN', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing rear-sight notch to rear of top-strap, plain cylinder engraved with serial number, borderline engraved frame with 'L.A.C.' suppliers stamp, spurred hammer, sliding safe to right hand side of frame, chequered walnut one-piece grip, iron butt-cap and trigger-guard, hinged loading lever mounted on the left hand side of barrel, fair traces of original finish remaining TOGETHER WITH its English market oak storage case, compartmented and lined in green baize, 'Kavanagh' label to inside of lid and containing a number of accessories including a double-cavity bullet mould, nickel oil-bottle, nipple-key, turn-screw and flask
