circa 1900, with octagonal 28 1/2in. barrel signed 'G.J. SMITHSON, 10 SCOT LANE, DONCASTER', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, one standing notch with two additional folding leaves rear-sight, plain central-hammer side-lever action signed 'G.J. SMITHSON' (hammer mainspring at fault, traces of original blue), chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock with horn heel-plate and pistol-grip cap and chequered splinter fore-end with horn tips (the whole stained with some mild pitting)
