A 34-BORE PERCUSSION OVER-UNDER BOXLOCK BELT-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1850, with octagonal profile 8in. slab-sided barrel-group, the top-flat signed 'EDWARDS DEVONPORT' (refreshed), engraved band at muzzle, silver bead fore-sight with scroll engraved surround, scroll engraved breech-end with standing notch rear-sight, borderline and scroll engraved top-plate and tang, floral scroll engraved squared box-lock action with dolphin-headed scroll engraved side-hammers, bag-shaped walnut chequered butt with silver oval escutcheon, scroll engraved trigger-guard bow, double triggers, side mounted belt-hook and captive iron swivel ramrod (barrel-group cleaned with some isolated pitting)
