circa 1880, with ovate 2 1/2in. barrel signed 'W. GRIFFITHS, MANCHESTER', the grooved top-strap marked 'THE BRITISH BULLDOG', crescent fore-sight, plain blued cylinder. solid frame with right-hand loading gate, spurred hammer and chequered walnut grips, traces of finish throughout
