MAKERS. 78, SHAFTESBURY AVENUE. LONDON.', and the model designation in ornate gothic script, with Scott trademark, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/2 choke, left wall at 19, treble-grip action with side-clips, automatic safety, rounded action bar, the fences and toplever deeply carved with scrolling leaf motifs on a finely stippled background, the action, lockplates and furniture with fine acanthus scroll engraving, surrounding finely engraved vignettes of game birds in flight, including duck and snipe, a canada goose, partridge, pheasant and grouse, retaining traces of original colour-hardening, 14 5/8in. highly-figured semi-pistolgrip stock including 1 1/8in. leather-covered recoil pad, weight 6lb. 6oz.
