dated for 1862, with probably shortened 21 1/4in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, flip-open breech-block with small locking detent, probably shortened walnut half-stock (repair to underside of fore-end) with brass heel-plate and trigger-guard, iron barrel-band and provision for clearing rod
