30 1/4in. fine damascus nitro barrels (slightly loose on action), rib engraved 'C.E. ANDREWS. 15, SWALLOW ST. PICCADILLY. LONDON. W.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, best bouquet and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 7/8in. highly-figured stock including 1in. rubber recoil pad, weight 6lb. 14oz., in a brass-cornered oak-lined leather hammergun case, the lid marked 'M.S. BRANDER A.S.C.', the case with a British Railways Southern Region 'Parcel Paid' label, dated 22nd Oct 1953 and addressed 'Major General M.S. Brander, Milton Mill, Near Bridport, Dorset'
