A PATTERN 1831 SCOTTISH INFANTRY OFFICERS BASKET-HILT SWORD,
circa 1905, with straight 32 1/2in. blade etched with thistles and arabesques together with the cypher of Edward VII, inlaid proof mark and signed at the forte 'ANDERSON & SON, 14 GEORGE ST, EDINBURGH' twin blind central fullers, dismountable nickel-plated basket hilt of usual form with ruby coloured leather liner, wire-bound sharkskin grip and red cotton tassel beneath the bun pommel COMPLETE WITH its nickel-plated dress scabbard with twin loose suspension rings
