A WORLD WAR TWO GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE 'TYPE TWO' NAVAL DIRK,
circa 1943, with double-fullered 9 3/4in. stiletto blade with etched panels to both sides of blade featuring arabesques surrounding an anchor, signed at the ricasso 'E.F. HORSTER, SOLINGEN' together with a monogram trademark, gilded 'tobak' cross-guard with button locking catch, spiral wire-bound cream-coloured celluloid hilt with gilded 'tobak' eagle and swastika pommel, the tobak fittings with some age cracking, the whole retaining fair traces of original finish TOGETHER WITH its original gilded brass scabbard with lightning-bolt designs (gilding worn) and a silver wire portapee knot (lightly worn)
