LONDON.', and gold-inlaid '1', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. in both, right barrel with dent, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Boss 1894 improved patent single trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 3/8in. figured replacement stock including 1 1/4in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 6lb. 10oz., in a lightweight leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was ordered as No.1 of a pair on 21st November 1901as a single-trigger with 30in. barrels. The original owner's name is indistinct in the ledger, but appears to read 'M. de Lissarby'.
