circa 1890, with re-blued octagonal 26 3/4in. barrel signed on the top-flat 'JAMES W. ROSIER, MELBOURNE', dove-tail for fore-sight (missing), buckhorn rear-sight, extractor with additional bolster or guide, scroll engraved boxlock action with non-re-bounding central hammer, side-lever opening, chequered capped pistol-grip walnut butt-stock, iron heel-plate, chequered splinter fore-end with take-down wedge, refinished throughout
