30in. lined nitro damascus barrels, the rib engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON. 63 PRINCES STREET. EDINBURGH.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, toplever with swept thumb lever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking indicators, border and acanthus scroll engraving, 15 1/2in. figured stock with circular gold escutcheon engraved with an upturned horn crest, weight 7lb. 1oz.
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed as a 'best double patent ejector (sidelock)' with 30in. barrels in January 1903 for R. Forrester.
