Southgate patent ejector details, patent no. 8239 of 24th April 1893, use number 1900, action furniture and lockplates engraved with bold acanthus scrollwork with fine bordering, the lockplates with the makers name in an ornately scrolled cartouche, some external pitting, 13 7/8in. figured cast on stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a brass-cornered leather hammergun case
