MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, bore dimensions marginal, treble-grip self-opening action with carved fleur-de-lys fences, conversion from non-ejector (not by the makers), automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, arrow cocking-indicators, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed finish, 14 3/8in. figured stock including 1 1/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 11oz., in a brass-cornered leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed as a non-ejector in July 1884 with 30in. barrels for a Mr. W. Blinkhorn.
